Dear Tenants: Don’t Worry About the Rent for the Next Four Months

This is probably the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in days. Terra Bella Property Management just sent this letter to all of the tenants in one of their properties at the behest of the owner. The letter tells the tenants that they don’t have to worry about paying rent for the next four months.

Imagine getting a letter right now that tells you that you don’t have to worry about making rent on May 1st. Nor do you have to worry about making rent on June 1st, July 1st, and August 1st. Imagine how much stress these landlords have just removed from their tenants’ lives. Imagine how much suffering they’ve just removed from the world. Imagine how much joy they’ve just brought to dozens and dozens of families.

Not all landlords can afford to do this. I get that. But some can. And more should.

Wherefore by their fruits during the pandemic ye shall know them.
